This course explores the literature of our nation from the Native American and Puritan eras to the twenty-first century. The major objective of the course is to develop an understanding of the philosophies that have shaped our nation’s values through a study of major American writers. Students will be required to complete a term paper in a satisfactory manner to receive credit for the course.
